Firemans Grits

Firemans Grits
If you enjoy spicy food any time of day, then this is a meal for you!

INGREDIENTS:
8 cups water
2 cups grits
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 tbs sherry
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot pepper sauce
2 large eggs
1/2 cup chopped green chili peppers

DIRECTIONS:
1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add grits and 1 tsp salt.
2. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, over low heat until thickened, about 20 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat. Add butter and grated cheddar cheese, stiring until the cheese is melted.
4. Add sherry, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, eggs, and chopped green chili peppers.
5. Spoon into a greased 3-quart baking dish and bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Cook: 80 minutes
Serves: 8
