Focus on the Temple

It is important to make time to regularly attend the temple. Most people now have a temple within about three hours of their homes now. This helps to eliminate the excuses for not attending the temple. It also seems that something always comes up when it is time to go. It is important to make temple attendance a priority.

If you live far away from the temple you may decide to plan an entire day to visit the temple every three or four months. When we lived three hours from a temple, we always went to more than one session. When you have to drive so far, it seemed wasteful to just attend once.

If you live close you can visit the temple much more often. You may consider setting up a babysitting swap so that you and your friends can both attend the temple more often. You may also consider switching off with your spouse when you attend the temple. You can avoid getting a sitter if you do this.

The temple is a place that you can find a great deal of peace. We have been placed to have so many temples built in recent years. We should take advantage of these smaller temples. In our area the temple attendance has dropped. This is because people have begun to take the temple for granted.

I know that when I have made time to attend the temple regularly, that I have seen the benefits in all areas of my life. My family life and home is much happier. A peace seems to prevail over all things. Additionally I am able to accomplish more. I also feel like my priorities are in the right order. The temple really helps me to balance my life in the right way. Temple attendance along with personal scripture study and personal prayer really help me to handle everything that life throws at me.
