Five Foods Keeping You Fat

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Soda pop

While soda is not a food it is packed with enough sugar and calories to break any diet. The high fructose corn syrup is already a huge mark against this choice. It is easy to drink calories so you need to be very careful. Just two cans of soda will give you over 60 grams of sugar and almost 300 calories. Diet soda will not get you off the hook. Studies have linked diet soda to weight gain as well.

French fries

It should not be surprising to find French fries on a list of the worst fatty foods out there. Frying oil soaked fries is a sin to a potato. Adding in a side of fries adds in enough fat and calories to count as having two meals at one time. You can consume as much as 35 grams of fat and over 700 calories in a large serving of fries.

Chicken Pot Pie

I had to add this to the list since my husband is a fan of chicken pot pie. Worse, he purchases frozen or from Boston Market where both options can have almost 2000 calories and 27 grams of fat. If you are going to eat chicken pot pie then make our own so you can control the fat, calories and sodium.

Double Cheeseburger

Another of my husband’s favorites for grabbing while on the road. Now he is thin so you can hate him. But, thin or not, person should not consume fast food chemicals, grease, or high fat and calorie foods. You can end up eating as many fat and calories for two to three meals in a double cheeseburger.

Donuts

My kids would eat donuts every morning if I allowed it. One little fried donut can have up to 30 grams of fat and is loaded with sugar. If that isn’t bad enough, most are still hungry after one donut. Donuts are unique in that all things bad are contained in one tiny package.
