Just in time for the holidays, you can get a free 1 GB portable Flash Drive from Buy.com!
I found this deal posted over at Money Saving Mom, a deal catching website. Many times the deals she posts are the same ones that I find, but this time she found one I didn’t know about: this absolutely free flash drive. I knew that I had to take advantage of this deal myself. It worked beautifully. Thanks!
The flash drive is the Kingston 1GB Data Traveler USB 2.0 Flash Drive, a portable drive that is compatible with almost any device that uses a USB port. I was going to get this as a Stocking stuffer for my husband, but he wandered in to the office this morning, just as I was checking out this deal. I figured that I might as well as him what he thought. Needless to say, he was excited, especially when I told him it would be free.
Basically, you go to Buy.com and place the flash drive into your cart. It retails at $10. When you proceed to check out choose the fast Google checkout. This will discount the flash drive by $10 because they offer $10 off of new Google Check out users. Be careful here not to use the regular Buy.com checkout, or you won’t get the discount. Choose the super saver shipping (the longest shipping option) and shipping is free! You spend $0.00.
You will need to input a credit card in order to have the site calculate the price, but you won’t be charged a cent.
According to the post on Money Saving Mom, you can take advantage of this deal multiple times, with as many e-mail address as you have. That brings up another issue about responsibility, which I won’t discuss here at this time.
