Free Ice Cream

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! I remember when my great aunt used to sing that song to me. I was a little girl, and that seemed to be the most clever song that I had ever heard. Whenever I hear it now, I always think of summer days. And when I think of ice cream, I usually think of summer.

It is funny that ice cream and summer have such strong associations with each other for me. After all, I used to live in New England, where the citizens pride themselves on being the largest USA consumers of ice cream during the winter. And it is true, I do eat lots of ice cream all winter long (and fall and spring).

Julie has been bringing us some great ice cream deals all year long, including this one for a buy one get one free sundae from one of my favorite ice cream parlors. Yum.

But recently, I found out that Baskin-Robbins will give out free ice cream as part of its birthday club. When you sign up for the club, you’ll get a coupon for a free ice cream around the time of your birthday. And, what is really cool, is that there is no age limit on joining the club. So adults like me, who turn into kids whenever the word ice cream is mentioned, can take advantage of this offer.

For me, that means that I will be enjoying my ice cream in May. It isn’t quite summer, but for a sweet ice cream treat I can just pretend. That 2.5 ounce scoop of pralines and cream in a sugar cone is just calling my name.

To take advantage of this offer, go to the Baskin-Robbins website, in the birthday club section by clicking here.
