FREE Oasis Moisturizing Mouthwash at CVS

Oasis Moisturizing Mouthwash On the back of the new CVS extra value book for December 2007 (which you can pick up in store), you’ll see a big picture of Oasis Moisturizing Mouthwash, with one of my favorite phrases: “It’s like getting it for FREE.” Woohoo!

You need to pay 5.99 for the mouthwash (16 oz, or the 1 oz spray), and then you’ll get 5.99 back as CVS Extra Bucks. They will be printed immediately, right on the end of your receipt. (More about that in a moment.)

Free mouthwash – that’s great, isn’t it? Wait – that’s not all… go to http://www.oasisdrymouth.com/ and click “Try Oasis and Save” (near the right-hand side of the page). You’ll have to fill out a short form, and then you will be directed to a page where you can print a coupon for $1.50 off of that FREE bottle of Oasis. This means you’re earning $1.50 just to go shopping – plus the free mouthwash.

The CVS limit for this deal is 5 per CVS card number. You have the whole month (12/1/07 – 12/31/07) to do this deal. The internet-printed coupon does say limit of one coupon per household.

Here is one suggested way to maximize this deal:

Buy one Oasis, minus your coupon:

5.99 – 1.50 = 4.49 (plus sales tax on 5.99)

You’ll immediately earn an Extra Buck (EB, in CVS lingo) for 5.99.

Buy one more Oasis and use your previously earned 5.99 EB.

5.99 – 5.99 = 0 (you shouldn’t even have to pay sales tax, b/c EB’s reduce your pre-tax total.)

You’ll immediately earn another EB for 5.99.

Buy a third Oasis and use your previously earned 5.99 EB.

5.99 – 5.99 = 0

You’ll immediately earn another EB for 5.99.

Buy a fourth Oasis and use your previously earned 5.99 EB.

5.99 – 5.99 = 0

You’ll immediately earn another EB for 5.99.

Buy a fifth Oasis and use your previously earned 5.99 EB.

5.99 – 5.99 = 0

You’ll immediately earn another EB for 5.99.

(Yes, I’m just repeating myself here. This is the BEAUTY of CVS shopping!)

Now, you’ve got five bottles of Oasis for only 4.49 + tax, and you’ve still got a $5.99 EB in your hand. No, it’s not cash. That’s why they say “It’s like getting it for free.” At this point, you can just spend the $5.99 on something else you need in the store (Christmas shopping, anyone?), or you can save it for another CVS EB deal. If you do, you’ll be “rollin’ the EB”, as they say.

About Nikki Goodson

Nikki Goodson started hard-core couponing in August of 2004. She is a member of several deals sites and has previously been a Deals moderator for Deals.Families.com. One of the sources that really helped Nikki get started was Dealagogo.com, where she was an active member. When it merged into Families.com, she became a moderator for the newly-created Deals section. During a re-organization, she specialized and became the moderator for the CVS forum. October 2006 was an amazing month for the CVS forum. Due to the busy-ness with all the awesome deals, her daughter waited 13 days past her due date to be born at the very end of the month! ;) Later, Nikki stepped down as moderator and is now stepping back up as a blogger. Nikki is a SAHM to a 3.5 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl. Her family lives in Merriam, KS - a suburb of Kansas City. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Besides the Deals section of Families.com, her favorite forums include Cloth Diapering, Attachment Parenting, and Breastfeeding.
