Less Can Mean More
If you are a single parent you are most likely trying to live off one income, which is incredibly difficult these days. This means that entertainment has to be budgeted and carefully planned. Affording what a two-income family could afford is almost impossible along with your other financial responsibilities. This does not mean that good times will not exist. In fact, this could mean something even greater. Actually, all your kids really want is to have the much desired time of their parents. The activities that cost the least will most likely mean more to your children than an expensive outing.
Free or Low Cost Ideas That Spell F-U-NThere are plenty of free or low cost ideas that are fun and foster closeness. Some of these would include:

Play With Your Children
There is nothing more that children get a kick out of as when their parent participates. Involve yourself in the activity that they choose. No, I mean really play alongside of them. Do not just look like you are playing, but really play. Children are great at picking up on things and they will detect that you are not really into the activity if you try to fake it. It is important that you really involve yourself. Your children will love it and you never know, you might even love it too! Go ahead, swing that bat, and run with that kite. It will make you feel like a kid again.
