Many of us are trying to use more natural products in the home. We use vinegar for a lot of our cleaning needs, gentler soaps in our bathrooms, and natural air fresheners. Now Proctor & Gamble is bringing “natural” to the laundry room as well. Their new Tide product contains baking soda and citrus extracts. I’ve always found regular Tide to be a little harsh for my skin, so I’m looking forward to the kindler, gentler version. They’re revising Downy, too. It now comes with Aloe or Chamomile. It will be interesting to see how aloe can be incorporated into a fabric softener. Not only in the liquid, Downy, but in the Bounce dryer sheets, too.
To get you to try them, P&G will send you free samples. It takes about six weeks to arrive, but the price is right. I’m hoping they have coupons enclosed. It’s difficult to tell if you like a product from one or two washings, and Tide is very expensive here compared to some of the others. All they want is your email and street address. You can opt-in to get special offers from them, but it’s not necessary. They’ll send the samples anyway.
While you’re there, enter the Clean, Soft, and Fresh Sweepstakes. Which of those words is most appealing to you? To me, it’s clean. The Clean Getaway is to Sedona, AZ for some clean air. The Soft Getaway will whisk two of you away to Park City, Utah where you ski on the soft powder. And the Fresh Getaway prize will let you see the freshest place in the USA, Hawaii. If you don’t win one of the three grand prizes, they have a great first prize awarded each week – $500 toward the ultimate bedding set and a year’s supply of Pure Essentials. The sweepstakes ends 9/21/07. Guess that means I’ll be headed to Sedona on the 22nd.
