Giveaways have always been popular, in good economic times and bad. Now they are really popular! Go to any grocery store, especially during the middle of the day, and you will find many samples being given out. Everything from cheese on a new brand of crackers, to a new sauce on meat, to fruit salads and juices can be sampled. Sometimes you can graze your way through the aisles! And don’t forget the bakery counter! Supermarket bakeries will sometimes put out samples of their cookies, cakes, or broken pieces for you to try.
Walmart has been promoting samples for quite a while. You can find out more about them here. Some of the samples are available in store, some you have to order on line to be shipped to you. Walmart also has a free trial offer of All You Magazine. This is for one issue, and you have to provide credit card info. If you like it, they bill you, if you don’t, you have to notify them. All You is a very good resource for coupon users.
You can get some really nice free samples through the year by signing up at Proctor and Gamble’s Everyday Solutions. This is a great resource for free samples, special online coupons, and coupons and special offers sent in the mail. You really will be ahead with this one. Their coupons are often long dated, and high value. And the free samples enable you to try things out! The best thing is that you can select what you want to have mailed to you, so you are not getting free samples of things you cannot use.
Start Sampling is a great program for trying new products. They have an offer now for you to get 5 issues of O, The Oprah Magazine for free. This isn’t a trial subscription, no credit card information is required. With Start Sampling, magazine subscriptions are a gift from a sponsor. The sponsor for this offer is BedBathStore.com.
You can sign up for Start Sampling here. I recommend that you sign up, because the samples are consistently good and there are opportunities for other savings as well. Here is a preview of some of their samples.
Keep an eye for freebies, giveaways, and get on these lists for regular samples and coupons. It really does add up, and is very convenient.
