Free Wi-Fi High Speed Internet Access in Your Hometown

When I purchased my laptop one of the main things I was excited about was wireless internet. I love the idea of being able to go where ever I want to write and surf the web. Wireless internet is great when you are traveling or visiting friends. If you can find a place in the area with free wi-fi you can use your own computer to send emails and work rather than have to borrow a friends for the afternoon.

One big problem I found when traveling is no one seemed to know where the free wi-fi locations were. There are tons of places that will charge you to use their internet access, but where are the free ones?

Every town usually has several coffee shops and restaurants that offer patrons free wi-fi access. I recently found a website that tells you where those places are.

Wi-Fi-FreeSpot is a directory listing all of the free wi-fi location in the United States. The site has all of the places offering free wireless internet access in a particular state listed by city under the states name.

If you are traveling to a friends house in another state, or even another town you can check out where the free internet is. Most of the places in their directory have an address as well as a phone number listed beside them so you can easily locate them.

I think this site is fantastic. I had thought for a while that I would eventually be able to not have internet at my home for all the free wi-fi locations popping up nearby. When I looked at the listing for my city there were hardly enough to keep me connected all over town, but there were a lot of businesses offering free wi-fi I wasn’t aware of.

If you’re a laptop user check this site out and see where you can get online for free in your area.
