Fried Green Tomatoes
The classic made famous by the movie.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb tomatoes, green
1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup cream
DIRECTIONS:
1. Core and cut green tomatoes.
2. Melt butter or shortening; fry the tomatoes until they become translucent but not mushy.
3. Season and add the cream being careful that it does not curdle.
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes
Serves: 4
