Frugal Candy Corn Decorating Ideas

Candy corns are such sweet memories from childhood and all of our children love them. My favorite candy at Halloween time is candy corns of course, I just love the flavor and the smell of those tiny candies.

Lately as I’ve been looking around at holiday decorations, I have noticed that I seem to be drawn to the colors of candy corns and actual candy corn looking items. I enjoy decorating my home with items I can keep out all autumn long, and these tiny candies seem to do the trick! Decorating with some candy corns or candy corn items can add a touch of fall color and some festivity to each room in your home.

Candy Dish

The easiest and quickest way to decorate with these cute little fall colored candies, is to just place them around the house in decorative bowls and containers and make them available for eating anytime. Use other items besides little bowls, like clay pots, lids, saucers and cans to hold them.

Triangular Decorating

Find pillows, bottles, decorations, whatever, that are triangular shapes. Wrap orange, white and yellow ribbon or fabric around the items to turn them into candy corns. If you secure with a safety pin or glue Velcro on the fabric or ribbon you can reuse them each year and you don’t alter the original item.

Clay pots

Turn clay pots into candy corns. Check out my article posting later today on a really cute candy corn clay pot candle holder!

Candles

Secure ribbon or fabric strips around candles in white, orange and yellow to turn the candle into a candy corn. You can even fancy this up a bit by securing the fabric strips with silver thumb tacks placed all over the candle.

Use your imagination and your creativity and you can come up with some fun and festive ways to decorate your home for fall. With or without candy corns, these ideas can be adapted in other colors for other seasons as well.
