For the teenage girl that is all about brand name fashions, you do not have to blow your budget trying to make her happy. Instead of the pricey, trendy tops, handbags, or shoes, consider picking up other items such as accessories with her favorite label. A belt instead of a bag, slippers instead of shoes, a t-shirt instead of a fancier top, will often work and cost a lot less.
Guys like t-shirts too. Maybe your son, a nephew, or your husband is a sports fan. Official sports team gear can cost a pretty penny. However, an official league t-shirt, even a long sleeved one, makes a great gift at a much lower price than a jersey. There are also hats, slippers, throws, and other accessories that may work as well and be a much better deal.
Keep your eyes open for those free gift sets that come with some perfume or cologne purchases during the holiday season. You may be able to pick up a nice set for the same price you would normally pay for just a bottle of perfume. On the other hand, consider purchasing a smaller amount when it comes to expensive items. If your best friend loves a pricey perfume, give her a purse-sized bottle along a little something else, instead of spending more than you can really afford to give her the large bottle.
