This has been a weird week here in Pennsylvania. The weather can’t seem to make up its mind whether it wants to be summer or fall. Still, everyone seems to be gearing up for Halloween and the crisp fall leaves. With that in mind, we’ve shared some frugal ideas for both Halloween and outdoor yard work. Food seems to always be a big budget buster, so we have some tips for you in that subject, too.

Fall is in full swing in our neck of the woods, which seems to be obvious by the cooling temperatures and the trees slowly beginning to change. I never realized how busy life can get in the fall, and that there are new and different ways to save money on anything and everything.

The next time your kids or teen needs something new, why not suggest that they earn some money on their own. Sit down with this list and see if there is anything on it that they would like to do to earn some cash. Of course you want to encourage them to be frugal about their money, and when they have to earn it on their own, it may bring the money value lesson on the forefront of their thinking.

So many times, it seems that we eat out not as a treat or as something planned, but because we are tired, don’t feel like cooking, are too busy or think it will take less time.
