It seems these days everyone has a website. And if you don’t, you are sure missing out on some serious advertising! There used to be a time where creating a website was time consuming and extremely expensive. But now, as long as you can read a manual and a how to section, anyone can create their own website.
There are several ways you can create a website for free.
The first thing you need to do is figure out who you want to host your website. There are many free website hosts out there, the most popular is Geocities.com. With Geocities, you can choose to write your own HTML, the code used to design a website, or you can use one of their page templates and just input your information in.
There are also several places to get free templates. These templates are the design of your website. If you can learn basic HTML you can insert the information into these templates and it will look like you paid a fortune for your website. One of the most popular sites for free templates is FreeWebTemplates.com.
In addition to free templates online, there are also many places that offer webpage graphic kits for free. My favorite is CuteColors.com. She has both sets you can purchase and use on a business site, or free-use sets. Either way she only wants a link back to her website from yours. Not difficult to do for free graphics.
There are also other sites that offer free scripts and codes to create fun features such as the weather or the time and date to pop up each time someone visits your page. You can find many free scrips and codes at HotScripts.com.
There are also many great resources for free content on your page as well. Many sites offer articles and other resources you can offer for free on your webpage. One of the most popular free resources I’ve found for this content is ArticleCity.com.
So see, it’s really not that difficult to create your own website. If you are looking for something a little better, there are tons of options there too. I just thought I’d give you a way to create a website completely for free!
Do you know of any other free resources for website building?
