It’s back to school time and the clothing stores are filled with the latest fashions for the news year. What you may not notice is the stores clearance racks are also filled with summer clothes that remained unpurchased. It is time to buy next year’s summer clothes.
Granted if you are shopping for next spring and summer you will have to stay roughly the same size and you will also have to avoid purchasing anything too trendy that might stand out next year, so you will have to choose carefully. Stick to classic clothing items and don’t buy anything tight or smaller than you are now so you won’t have to diet to get in your clothes next year.
Here are some items for you shopping list for next summer’s wardrobe:
Tank tops: You can never go wrong with tank tops, nor can you ever have too many. Grab as many as you think you will need as they will surely be priced around $2.50 each right now. Tank tops are also perfect to wear year round to layer under your other clothes.
T-shirts: Speaking of layering, don’t forget to grab some colorful t-shirts. It doesn’t matter if they have a logo or saying you don’t like, you can always wear them under other items year round.
Shorts: Short shorts were the biggest thing this summer,next to the maxi dress, especially in the last month. Chances are people will still be wearing them next year. Don’t go for the shortest pair you can find as those may not be very popular next year. Try to find a pair or two that has a nice classic fit. If you can find Bermuda shorts buy those too, they never seem to go out of style.
Sundresses: Purchase any classic sundresses you can find. It should fall just below the knee and have a ruched or shirred top. These are classic. If you see a maxi dress you really like then buy it, but don’t expect the trend to be strong for a third year straight.
Shoes: If you are an adults, your feet probably won’t grow this year. Now is a great time to stock up on sandals and flip flops for next summer.
