Fun Baby Shower Activities

I’ve given you recipes for tasty baby shower treats and shared easy and affordable party favor ideas, now it’s time for some real fun—-the games.

Love ‘em or hate ‘em, no baby shower is complete without a few games. Some of the ideas we are considering for my pal’s upcoming shower include:

MEMORY GAME

To play this game simply place 15 to 20 small baby-related items on a large tray. (Some ideas include: Baby bottle, pacifier, rattle, baby sock, safety pin, baby oil, Wet-Ones, stuffed toy, etc.)

Next, give each guest a piece of paper and a pencil to write down their answers.

Start the game by bringing the tray into a room and placing it somewhere that everyone can see it clearly. Guests can look at, but not touch, the tray and its contents for two minutes. Then, remove the tray from the room and give guests five minutes to write down all of the items that were featured on the tray.

The guest who gets the most items correct is the winner.

GUESS THE BABY

This game begins before the party starts. In the shower invitations ask each guest to bring a picture of herself as a baby to the shower.

As guests arrive, take the photo from them and post each picture on a board or hang on the refrigerator with magnets.

Use a small post-it to number each photo.

When it’s time to play, give each guest a piece of paper and pencil. Guests then have three minutes to jot down the numbers affixed to the pictures and who they think is featured in each shot.

If there are a lot of baby shower guests it may be necessary to pass the photographs around as they may not be able to see the photograph clearly.

The guest who identifies the most photographs is the winner.
