Fun Educational Games for the Whole Family

There are certainly many classic family games that are loads of fun no matter the age. Games like Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Hi Ho Cherry O, Clue, Life and Monopoly are extremely popular in plenty of households. But have you gotten to know some of the new family entertainment out there?

Apples to Apples

This is probably one of our favorite games. It is a game of comparison and can be played by kids of all ages now that they have a junior version. It’s so much fun to play, and yet they are still learning plenty about adjectives and nouns while playing the game. This is a must have party game.

Cranium Whoonu

This is from the Cranium family of games and is perfect for the whole family. This is a great game to get to know people better, but can be so much fun playing with your family members and closest friends. The object is simply to give the player the best card that fits them most. Some of the choices are hilarious.

In a Pickle

This is another fabulous game that requires loads of creativity and plenty of logical thinking. The game is simply a way to show how something can fit inside of something. For instance, you picked the card pen, and you place it down on top of the word Christmas tree. Can a Christmas tree fit inside a pen? In this game it can – a Christmas Tree fits inside a dog pen, a horse pen, a…..you get the idea. It’s loads of fun and will seriously keep the kids thinking and being imaginative.

Such and Such

Another game that seems to follow along in our obsession of word and card games. It is a game of things of things that go together…. what? Teams take turns trying to solve a set of five different clues, that have to do with something. Except all of the answers have two parts that are commonly associated with each other (like salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly, etc.). It’s definitely a thinking game and is quite a bit of fun!
