How about a new challenge? If you’re reading this, it probably means that you are usually the one BEHIND the camera. If you’re a scrapper, you’ve probably heard all about “all about me” albums. Maybe you keep a diary. Maybe you’ve made notations in your photo album. Maybe you have an online blog with photos. Whatever you do, don’t forget to include the YOU. What will people know about you when they look back at all the photos you’ve taken? Well if you’re always behind the camera, probably not much!
Photograph a day in YOUR life. Keep our camera with you all day long. What do you do when you get up in the morning? What do you look like? Don’t be scared…and don’t PRIMP! Take a picture of you! Do you go straight to the bathroom to brush your teeth? Take a picture of your bathroom vanity, your toothbrush, the face cloth you use to wash your face.
What’s next? Do you go and get the kids up? Take a picture of them too…from YOUR point of view, all natural. Do you go to the kitchen for a cup of coffee or tea? Take a picture of that too! Have your husband take a picture of you drinking your coffee or tea, and whatever else you do that day!
Take pictures of you reading the kids a bed time story, kissing them good night, tucking them in. Take a picture of you reading a book to unwind in the evening, doing your yoga, or whatever it is YOU do.
I’m sure you get the idea. Make a photographic diary of your life. Make sure you are remembered, the way you are, WHO you are. Put those pictures in their very own album, and write your own personal notes in it, so people that look at it know what you’re trying to convey.
