On the weekends, around our house we always try to do something fun. It usually involves packing up the car and heading out to somewhere out of the ordinary. We just moved to Central Florida, so you can imagine the stuff there is to do around here. The problem is always, MONEY. How much can we spend this weekend and stay within the budget? Usually, it’s not very much so I search for fun stuff that is very inexpensive. The kids don’t care as long as they have fun.
Museums are a fun way to stretch little ones minds and have fun at the same time. During the first weekend of every month, if you show your Bank of America ATM, credit card, or check, you can get into 70 different museums for free. The museums are located all over the country. Check out the list and find which ones are near you.

The freebie for today involves helping the honey bees. The great sunflower project is mailing out sunflower seeds to plant in your yard. You have to agree to watch the bees that are attracted to the flowers and report their patterns. Apparently, our bee population is dwindling and they are trying to find out why. This is a great science project for inquiring little minds.
