Apparently, I am not the only one in the world who has questioned the quality of IKEA furniture. Google, “Is IKEA furniture any good,” and you’ll get nearly two million results in less than a second.
When you are on a tight budget and want to furnish your scrapping space, then inexpensive IKEA-like tables, chairs and storage items may seem like a reasonable option. Well, they did to me anyway.
All I want to do (and I suspect other scrappers feel the same way) is to organize my scrapbooking area in a way that I can access my materials as easily as possible. When you are continually adding new items to your collection of scrapbooking supplies you need to have furniture to accommodate the extra products.
If I had the means, I would purchase customizable scrapbook furniture. You can buy storage cubes, desks, chests and shelves that are designed specifically for scrapping purposes. They are often sold as a storage system and can be rearranged to fit different spaces.
I’ve seen some amazing scrapbook furniture online at places such as Organize It. The company has devoted an entire section of its website solely to scrapbook storage units, as well as scrapbooking workstations and customizable desks. The Container Store is another one of my favorite retailers for scrapbook-related storage units. However, the company, which I think has the most amazing scrapbook furniture options, is Chandler Creations. Not surprisingly, their stuff is very expensive, but all of it is made from high-quality materials and offers functionality and style.
Where do you shop for scrapbook room furniture? Do you have an entire room dedicated to your hobby, or are you like me, and use leftover space and spare furniture to create a scrapbooking area all your own? Do you own any furniture from IKEA?
