Do you want to review the talks from General Conference? Did you miss a session or fall asleep during a talk? You can hear and watch the video archives of conference now. The video streams are available for each session at the church’s website. Although you can not watch an individual talk, it is easy to fast forward and rewind until you find it. This is a great blessing to have the talks available now. Additionally the church had video streams from its website for the first time in many years.
You can also use the video to supplement your family home evening lessons and reviews for the family. For example you can talk about sustaining a prophet and how it is different and then show that from the first Saturday session. Additionally you can fast forward to where President Monson thanks everyone for their sustaining vote at the end of the Saturday morning session.
The MP3 files are already available to download as well. The MP3s are great to download to your iPod. You can listen on your commute or on your daily walk. Additionally you can turn them on and listen or watch while folding the laundry or doing other household chores. The Priesthood session is not yet available, but will be shortly. Additionally the text for the talks will be available online on Thursday. The Young Women’s General Session is currently available in all formats.
I remember when it seemed to take forever for the May Ensign to arrive with the conference talks to read and study. We are blessed to have these words of counsel and support to guide us much sooner. However, I do look forward to still receiving my Ensign each month, because I like to mark the talks and study the words in more depth. As much as I love the computer, I still love to study on paper. What is your favorite way to study the General Conference talks?
