GeoFun with GeoToys

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
Geography is one of those subjects sandwiched in between history and maybe next year. It appears that some homeschools focus on geography and some tend to add it in here and there with a few games. I will admit that I am one homeschooler who never had a solid geography program. I would always fit it in with history which took me about five minutes. My children were always good in the subject since we implemented computer games to reinforce the subject. However, this year I decided to be more purposeful in teaching geography. Instead of briefly pointing to a country on a map we will look more closely into all aspects of the subject. I found the perfect items to enhance the study with my children; items from GeoToys.

GeoToys has a variety of puzzles, games, and cards, to reinforce geography lessons. The items make learning a fun hands on experience for children ages preschool through high school. Even as an adult, I enjoy a challenging geography game.

Here are two essentials that would fit into any is study.

GEOPuzzle World: 68 Jumbo sized puzzle pieces that not only aid in geography skills but fine motor skills, problem solving skills, and language skills. The puzzle is recommended for children ages 4 and up. It certainly is a high quality puzzle that is fun to put together during geography time.

Puzzle Pouch USA: 36 piece puzzle that you can easily take anywhere. As homeschoolers on the go, I love portable educational items. You can bring it to the library, the park, or to a friend’s house for a little co-op class.

These are just two of the great products you will find through GeoToys. You will find items for children of all ages. This is very helpful for families teaching multiple ages. I love the ability to have all my kids enjoy learning time together.
