Get Paid to Share Your Travel Nightmare

left

Remember the travel nightmare I experienced trying to get from Wisconsin to Hawaii for my beloved grandmother’s funeral?

I’ll never forget it. Also, I was never compensated by American Airlines for it.

Cough. Cough. Ahem!

However, I could still win for losing, and so could you.

Thanks to a contest being sponsored by MedjetAssist, you could win a major prize if you have what the company deems “the most engaging and harrowing travel tale.”

The more horrific, the better your chances of claiming the grand prize: A free five-night vacation for two at Lost Iguana Resort and Spa in the Costa Rica rainforest and a short-term MedjetAssist membership.

Medjet is a service that flies sick or injured members who are away from home to places where they can get quality medical care. Consequently, it is looking for horrendous travel tales that involve medical emergencies. For example, if you were on your honeymoon and got bit by an insect which you then discovered you were allergic to and were subsequently forced to spend the rest of your trip in the ICU or you were enjoying a vacation in the Big Apple, but got hit by a crazy cab driver in Times Square, broke your leg, hit your head on the pavement and got amnesia.

That’s got grand prize written all over it.

According to Medjet’s official site, “anyone who has visited a hospital instead of enjoying their vacation or business trip as planned is invited to submit a 100-word synopsis and photo of the nightmare incident or its aftermath (if available).”

The “It Happened to Me” contest runs through September 30th and entries are limited to North American residents only. In addition, it should be noted that the grand prize does not include free airfare to and from the ritzy Costa Rican resort and spa… unless Medjet services are needed during the trip.
