Getting To Know Your Store

Almost every store has different rules, policies, rewards and the way they do things. Sometimes the same store can have different rules and polices, simply because of their location. For example: My CVS store in Ohio will accept IP coupons, but another CVS store in another location might not. It can be quite confusing when you’re looking for deals and not knowing what is acceptable at your stores. It is also important to know where your store stands on certain issues to make sure you are taking advantage of every possibility.

I have created a simple list of questions you can ask your store, in order to get to know their rules, and learn what is acceptable with them. With any luck, your stores will not be too different from each other; that makes it easier to remember.

*Does your store accept Internet printed coupons?

*Does your store take expired coupons? (This is rare, but if you are lucky enough, it is worth knowing.)

If so, how far past the expiration date can they be?

*Does your store double, super double or triple coupons?

If so, to what amount do they double, super double or triple?

How often does your store double, super double or triple coupons?

Are their any limitations on how many coupons will double or triple?

*Are there any limits on the amount of coupons they will accept, in general?

*Does your store allow you to use two coupons on a BOGO item?

*Does your store accept competitor coupons?

If so, are there any restrictions?

*Does your store produce store coupons?

Are their store coupons available online to print?

Does your store allow you to use a store coupon and a manufacture coupon together for one item?

*How long are your rainchecks good for?

*Does your store have a shoppers reward card?

If so, where can you sign up for one?

What are the benefits of having a shopper’s reward card?

*Does your store have a gas rewards program?

*Does your store have a scan-rite policy?

If so what is it and how does it work?

*Does your store price match?

If so, how does it work?

Are their any restrictions?

What is the return policy?

About Jody Connolly (Benjaminna)

I am a married SAHM of five (and one cat)! My oldest daughter is 12, a diva ready to take over the world. My 10-year-old son, my informer, loves to make sure everyone is doing what he or she is supposed to (although he is no angel). I have an 8 year old daughter, who is just one of a kind. My 2 1/2 year old daughter, her own little personality is shinning through, and so are her terrible twos. And last but not least, my 1-year-old son, who is just the happiest and most content baby in the world. Things I love to do: coupons, rebates, read, color with sidewalk chalk, blow bubbles
