Getting Work Done from a Phone

I have already sung the praises of having a good smartphone. I am like a kid in the candy store with my new phone. The options and ability I have on my phone impress me. My husband claims I am addicted to my phone. If my phone was a man, I would marry it. All of that aside, it saved me from becoming woefully behind in my work. As a mom, homeschooler and business owner, it is never wise to get behind on work. There never seems to be enough time in the day for regular work much less making up for work. I am sure you can relate.

Today I got caught up on the run and experienced some delays. Instead of feeling like I wasted hours, I was able to write a few articles, answer emails, get research done, and even teach the kids about wild life and literature. Yes, I was able to do all of this from my phone. I could even watch a documentary with the kids if I wanted to. This is monumental for me since I am a tad behind in all the wonders a cell phone or tablet can do. You may not be as surprised as me. Perhaps a smartphone or tablet saved you hours of lost work time in the past. I am just happy I was able avoid giving excuses for work not completed on a deadline or feeling the stress of becoming behind in my work.

Moral of the story: find a suitable back up device for your computer or laptop to maintain your business. You do not want computer access to come between you and your clients or deadlines. Having a solid phone and easy to carry tablet can help you get work done during unexpected delays or during times you need to wait.
