Remember doing scavenger hunts when you were a kid? Maybe you did this at a friend’s birthday party, or perhaps when you were in Girl Scouts. Coupons.com has a new type of scavenger hunt that is designed for frugal shoppers. This one requires you to go online (instead of going door to door).
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a Cyber Monday Scavenger Hunt! It started on November 16, 2012, and will continue through November 20, 2012. Prizes will be awarded daily. The only advantage of starting on the first day of the scavenger hunt is that you would have more opportunities to win prizes.
Here is how to do this online version of a Scavenger Hunt. First, visit the Coupons.com blog They have selected some blogger websites that you need to go visit. The clue for a given day will be posted on a particular blog’s website after 10:05 in the morning, (Pacific time).
Follow the clue given at Coupons.com on their blog. Find the code on the blog Coupons.com directed you to. Go back to Coupons.com and enter the code on an entry form that is located on their Cyber Monday page. On Monday, November 19, 2012, ten people will win a $100 e-gift card to Walmart. On Tuesday, November 20, 2012, one person will win the Grand Prize, a $1,000 e-gift card to Amazon.
When you get done with the scavenger hunt, make sure you visit Kellogg’s Family Rewards. If you have signed up with them, you will be able to print out a huge batch of Kellogg’s coupons that are only available to people who have registered with Kellogg’s.
