It’s not exactly how you want to start off your holiday travels—taking your baby to the hospital. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what one woman had to do after she mistakenly put her 1-month-old grandson through an X-ray machine at Los Angeles International Airport earlier this week.
According to police, a shocked security worker noticed the shape of a child on the carry-on baggage-screening monitor and immediately pulled him out. The infant was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where doctors determined he did not receive a dangerous dose of radiation.
Airport officials are calling the incident “an innocent mistake by an obviously inexperienced traveler.”
But, how does one “accidentally” send a baby through an airport X-ray machine? Apparently, the woman got disoriented at the screening area, placed the child who happened to be in the car seat on the conveyor belt and he went along for the ride. Never mind the grandma, how come one of the dozens of TSA agents hovering around each screening area didn’t catch the kid before he scooted into the machine?
If you think that’s bizarre, wait to you learn what recently took place at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles—and you think your driver’s license picture is scary…
Two Virginia men deliberately painted their skin bright red, applied spray-on hair and oversized fake teeth in an attempt to look like teenagers from Pluto—for their driver’s license pictures. Wait there’s more… the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles issued them driver’s licenses all the same… at least for a while.
Once the original licenses were issued videos of the prank gained notoriety on the Internet, specifically Youtube.com where you can watch scenes of one man spray-painting his face and neck bright red while the other man paints the top of his head black and sticks a row of fake buckteeth in his mouth. The video also shows both men entering the DMV office and returning with real licenses complete with photos of their scary new looks.
Since the video has become a huge hit on the Internet the DMV has ordered the men to pose for new license photos or lose their driving privileges.
