Hair Bow Frame

I love to frame things. If you come to my house and stand still long enough you might find a frame around you with some lovely flowers. It’s such a cute way to corral things.

I made this hair bow frame for Ivy, it was super easy, quick and cheap, three of my favorite things.

Materials
An old frame- you don’t need the glass
fabric
quilt batting
ribbon
hot glue
cup hooks

Take the backing and the glass out of the frame. Cut a piece of quilt batting a little smaller than the back so it will tuck in the frame. Hot glue in place.

Cut a piece of material about two inches bigger on each side than the back of the frame. Lay the fabric face down on the table and center the back over it, batting side down. Pull the fabric to the back and hot glue it flat.

Cut ribbon the length of the frame plus three inches. If you want them ribbon to be perfectly spaced measure the distances and mark where you want the ribbon to go, I just winged it. Glue the ribbon ends to the back. Don’t glue the ribbon down on the front.

Cut a piece of fabric to cover the back, about one inch bigger on all sides and glue down, folding the edges under. I put hold glue on the little ledge inside the picture frame and put the back in there, ribbon side towards the front of the frame.

I found little wooden letters and painted them so I could put Ivy’s name in the frame. You could also just do one big letter for their first initial, or no letters at all. After the paint was dry I glued them in place.

Next I screwed three cup hooks in the bottom of the frame to hold headbands.

If you don’t like the frame you have you can paint that as well, I left mine the way it was because I liked the look of the frame.

Now corral all that hair stuff and get it put away.
