Halle Berry recently told a magazine reporter that she wanted to stay pregnant forever, but her baby had other ideas.
The Oscar winner gave birth Sunday morning to a baby girl, according to her rep.
Berry and her model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are now the proud first time parents of a 7 lbs, 4 oz baby girl, who arrived at 10:17 am at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.
The 41-year-old new mom is reportedly “doing well” and can’t wait to take her bundle of joy home.
There are varying reports on Berry’s delivery timeline, but several Internet sites posted pics of the actress out in L.A. shopping for candles Saturday afternoon. According to Star magazine, the Emmy winner felt contractions late Saturday night and went to the hospital because she thought she was in labor. A few hours later she gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
No word on a name, but with gorgeous parents like Berry and Aubry the kid must be a looker all ready. I’m sure they will find a name befitting or her beauty.
When she gets home Berry should consider giving actress Salma Hayek a call. Like Berry the movie star is a 41-year-old new mom to a baby daughter (Hayek gave birth to Valentina Paloma Pinault six months ago) and also suffered from diabetes during her pregnancy.
In a recent interview with Glamour magazine Hayek confesses she was hoping for a son (Berry said she didn’t care what the sex of her baby was as long as it was healthy) because “there is always conflict between mothers and daughters.” But now Hayek says she can’t imagine what life would be like without her gorgeous little girl.
“I feel I was born to have this girl,” she says in the April issue of Glamour.
Valentina’s father is Hayek’s 45-year-old businessman fiancé, François Henri Pinault, who has two children from a previous marriage.
