Happy Father’s Day to Home-Based Professional Dads

It is Father’s Day weekend so it is a great time to acknowledge all of the dads out there that work from home. Whether they work full time or part time, these men have decided that the path of the home-based professional works for them. It takes hard work and dedication to be both a dad and a home-based professional, along with patience, adaptability and a whole lot more. In fact, many of the qualities that make a great dad are also qualities of successful home-based professionals.

I am proud to say that in recent years, my dad has become a part-time home based professional. For years, he worked full time outside of the home for a large company in the telecommunications industry. Over the past few years, he has been working for the same company on a part time basis and has also been working from home as an insurance claims investigator. I am proud of my dad for taking on this new line of work, and I can tell that he is enjoying using his skills in new and different ways.

The insurance industry employs many different kinds of people in various roles. Some jobs in the insurance industry are well-suited for home-based professionals. Full time and part time positions are available on both an employee basis and a freelance basis. In his work as an investigator, my dad checks up on facts that have been provided to the insurance company by claimants and witnesses. On any given day, he may go to interview a witness, take pictures of the scene of an accident or injury, or consult with attorneys that are involved in a case that he has been assigned to. The work provides a lot of variety and I think that my dad really enjoys that. He does not mind driving all over the place to visit different sites, either. I’m not surprised, because he has driven around a lot for his regular job and he is just one of those people that enjoys driving and spending time in the car.

Happy Father’s Day to my dad, my husband, and all of the other great dads out there!
