Happy New Year! Time to create habits!

OK, how many happy new year blogs are you going to read? Maybe a ton. Maybe just one. But I hope you read this one!

Why? Because, this week can be so important in your business! My goal this week is to make a ton of calls. Normally I aim for just 2 – 5 a day, but I have so much information to get out!

Right now, being January, is just a good excuse to call. I addressed this in my last blog.

So besides make a ton of calls, what else do I plan to do? Create good working habits! It is so easy to get out of a habit, so I need to rebuild my “plan.”

Really, working an at home business isn’t that hard. But you need to work it.

Make a list of “habits” you’d like to create this year! When you have a habit that involves work, it’s like brushing your teeth. It doesn’t take up too much time, but it gets the job done.

Here are some habits to start:

Make 1 to 5 calls a day. This means connected calls, by the way. Maybe pick a time of day you do this. I’ll spend more time on this in the future, since it is a huge factor to my success in previous years.

Organization. Do you plan to input all your customers info in a database? If so, create a habit to do it right after the initial contact. Do you plan to keep track of expenses weekly? What ever it is, begin that habit now.

Email addresses. Do you want to create or build your email list? Create a habit to ask for their address and then add it to your list so when you are ready to send out your monthly newsletters, you have it.

Monthly newsletters. This is another habit to start. Create a day of the month, like the first or the first Tuesday, where you write and send it. It’s a great communication to keep in touch with your customers.

Thank you notes. Get in the habit of showing your customers and hostesses you care!

Team calls. I need to restart this habit as well. My team performs better when they know I care. In fact, I perform better when my upline calls me, and then my team motivates me. Definitely create scheduled team calls.

Whatever you want to do with your business this year, now is a great time to start those habits!
