I know you’re probably already busy with holiday preparations, and I soon will be as well, but I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you and your spouses and families have a wonderful holiday.
– God grant me the serenity
– To accept the things I cannot change,
– Courage to change the things I can,
– And the wisdom to know the difference.
*Keep this Serenity Prayer in mind as you go about your plans:
Remember, not everything has to be perfect. Sometimes, it’s those little imperfections that make family holidays special. Change what you can and don’t worry about the rest. Take a day off from troubles and worries and enjoy these moments with your loved ones. There are only so many Thanksgivings in each lifetime, so make this and every one count.
We all have so many things to be thankful for even when it doesn’t always seem that way. I’m thankful for so much, but I think today I’m most grateful that my husband is going to be home for Thanksgiving. I miss him and I can’t wait until he gets here later today. I don’t even mind stopping preparations and driving the 100 mile round trip in the midst of getting ready for tomorrow to go get him. I just glad that he will be home!
Time goes by so fast. Soon it will be Christmas and then we will start another new year. Let’s all try to slow down and savor some of the moments together with the people we love, and who love us the most. I hope each of you are surrounded by loved ones and that the day is one filled with comfort, laughter, and a chance to make memories that will last for years to come.
Happy Thanksgiving!
