Have Fun With Your Partner!

This past weekend my Husband and I took our two children, ages four and ten, to the snow. We live in California and the drive to Big Bear Mountain takes about two and a half hours. We got out of the car when we arrived and the wind was bone chilling, temperatures freezing. We all bundled up in our ski clothes and headed to tromp through the snow.

The entire family got involved in snowball fights and it was a blast! Then we bought a sled that we could all use to travel down the slope. The kids had a wonderful time and so did we. The most fun was when my husband and I would get on the sled together and head down the mountain. Wind rushing on our face, worries of crashing into trees! It was fun and it was silly and those are the moments that I am especially fond of.

My Husband is my best friend. We not only have a healthy communication style, we genuinely like being around each other. I know so many couples who, for the most part, live separate lives. Their fun time, recreational activities are spent with others not their spouse. I encourage you if you are one of these people to give your spouse a try. Doing something adventurous and sometimes silly is a wonderful feeling and can help bring you both closer together.

Some Fun Things To Consider Doing Together:
1) Play Golf- I recently took up the sport and find it fun and challenging. It gets us outside doing something together on the weekend even if we just spend one-hour hitting golf balls at the driving range.
2) Go to the Mountains or the Snow
3) Start Exercising Together
4) Play Board Games
5) Go Dancing
6) If you Have Kids, Enjoy Taking the Kids to the Park and Play Sports
7) Go on a Picnic
8) Go Sailing
9) Visit a Theme Park

There are so many fun things to do. Be creative and I am sure you will both have a wonderful time!
