Whew! That was close. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to find my way back out of my daughters’ room. It’s not even that big, but I didn’t want to stay in there any longer out of fear that all the clothes, shoes, and accessories would start closing in on me.
Who knew that many clothes could fit in one room?
I understand the younger kids making a mess, but they are actually pretty good about cleaning it up. So, can anybody explain to me how two teen girls who are so particular about their personal appearance can have a room that looks like a clothing store exploded? They could open their own store with all that stuff. Seriously, if they are so intent on looking just so, shouldn’t their belongings be kept in order?
I have no idea how they emerge from that room looking so perfectly put together. It must be quite a workout finding everything and getting ready. Maybe that’s how they stay so slim and trim.
I don’t really spend much time in their room, in order to give them some privacy, but it didn’t look like that the last time I ventured across the threshold. I have no idea what happened, but when I went in this morning to turn on the fan to get the air conditioning circulating more effectively (it’s almost 90 here today), I was just shocked.
Okay, I’m probably going to be in big trouble for writing this and wind up having two irate teenagers, but hey, it’s not liking I’m making it up. In fairness, it must have been a rough morning since they got up late, but wow!
I’m sure my princesses have every intention of righting the things in their room when they return from school, but just in case they don’t, I think I’ll write a note to remind them. I just haven’t yet figured out where I’m going to put it so they’ll see it!
I can’t wait for summer vacation to start because after I let them relax for the first week it’s going to be organization week here at my house. Anybody else?
