Are you looking forward to Black Friday shopping? Will you be leaving the Thanksgiving celebrations with your family early in order to catch the Thanksgiving Day “doorbusters”? Are you reading this blog while camping out in line in front of a store right now? This blog is for you! Here’s a quick round up of when the stores will open their doors and the some of the deals they will offer.
Every year, I do a series of blogs that list the days and times that the stores will open their doors to shoppers. They are a quick way to find out this vital information.
For information on Staples, Walmart, Kmart, or Target, go here.
For information on JC Penney, Sears, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Toys R Us, Walgreens, or Michael’s, go here.
For information on Kohl’s, Office Depot, Best Buy, Old Navy, Gap, or PetSmart, go here.
By now, you probably have become very knowledgable about the big ticket items that each store is offering, and the times they are going to have it available to shoppers. Here are some more sales that you might not know about.
Barnes & Noble will have a sale on the Nook Simple Touch on Black Friday, November 23, 2012. The sale price is $59.99. This is an in store, only, offer. It will be available “while supplies last”.
Barnes & Noble has “Early Bird Deals” going on right now. Little Golden Books are “Buy 2, Get a 3rd for Free”. There is a printable coupon on their website that will save you an extra 30% off of one item (including sale items). The coupon is valid now through Sunday, November 25, 2012.
Target has a “Ready, Set, Win!” deal. To enter, you must go to their Facebook page and click “like”. Every day, 25 fans will win a $25.00 Target Gift Card. You can enter the contest daily.
Kohl’s is doing a “Win a Dream” receipt contest. From November 23, 2012, through December 24, 2012, Kohl’s will select one winner, every day, in every Kohl’s store (and online). The winner will have Kohl’s pick up his or her receipt. It’s like shopping for free!
Powell’s Books has a sale on the Kobo Mini eReader. The sale will happen on Black Friday, November 23, 2012, and on Saturday, November 24, 2012. The Kobo will be offered for an on sale price of $49.99 (instead of the usual $79.99).
If you are going to Walmart, keep in mind that many Walmart workers are striking on Thanksgiving day and on Black Friday. If you want to support the workers, then don’t shop at Walmart this year. If you choose to shop at Walmart on that day, understand that there will be less staff on hand to help you.
