It looks like the third time is the charm for The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
After struggling to get pregnant with her 3-year-old daughter Grace and 15-month-old son Taylor, the outspoken former Survivor contestant says baby No.3 came as a complete surprise.
“We were thoroughly happy with the surprise of it,” Hasselbeck told fans on Thursday’s edition of The View. “I didn’t even know for two months.”
The 31-year-old stalwart Republican claims she had no clue that she was pregnant. Rather, she says she thought her fatigue and nausea were results of the hoopla generated by the presidential election.
Hasselbeck’s newest addition is due in August.
He’s not sporting a baby bump, but his girlfriend is.
Emmy winning actor Chad Lowe is about to become a dad for the first time, according to his rep.
Lowe will reportedly become a father with his producer gal pal Kim Painter in early summer. The actor credits Painter for helping him through his very public divorce from his Oscar-winning ex-wife Hilary Swank.
Joining the latest round of Hollywood baby bumpers is Rachel Griffiths, who stars on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. Her rep just confirmed that she is adding another baby to her brood.
The Australian-born actress is due to give birth to her third child sometime this summer.
Griffiths and her husband, Andrew Taylor, are also parents to daughter Adelaide Rose, 3, and 5-year-old son Banjo Patrick, who is named for Australian poet Andrew Barton “Banjo” Paterson.
Finally, country singer Jo Dee Messina is no longer part of the baby bump crowd.
According to reports, Messina and her husband, Chris Deffenbaugh, welcomed their first son last week.
Noah Roger Deffenbaugh was born at a Nashville-area hospital and weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz.
Messina wed Deffenbaugh in October 2007 and told reporters that the pregnancy was a welcome surprise.
