Hollywood Beauty Battling Baby Weight

Months after letting the world watch as she shimmied her way to a new figure on “Dancing with the Stars,” Shanna Moakler continues to talk about the pounds she packed on during her recent pregnancies. The 32-year-old mother of three says she is still not down to her pre-baby weight, but now the actress is revealing that she’s not sweating it. In her latest MySpace blog Moakler says she loves her post-baby body and insists there is no Hollywood secret to being thin.

“I look at my children and I am thrilled that my body will never be the same after having them,” Moakler writes. “They were worth it!”

The former Miss USA is the proud mother to daughter Atiana, 8 – from her relationship with ex-fiancé, boxer Oscar De La Hoya – son Landon, 3, and 19-month-old Alabama (their father is Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, Moakler’s on-again-off-again husband).

Moakler is speaking out about her weight after some unflattering pictures were recently printed in a tabloid. The pictures ran under the headline: “Shanna Moakler What a Porker.” To which the former beauty queen replied: I’d rather be a porker and be a healthy average WOMAN, th[a]n do what most do, to get that thin.” She added: “Most ‘starlets’ have plastic surgery, they use pills, drugs, or they live in the gym for 4 to 6 hours a day. It took 9 months[;] it might take a year getting back!”

The “Dancing with the Stars” alum also referenced her recent martial problems (Barker filed for divorce last August after less than two years of marriage, though the couple are still sharing parenting duties) in her analysis of why she has not been able to shed as many pounds as she would like. Moakler describes her failed reconciliation(s) with her husband as “emotionally devastating” and says the stress it has caused has not aided in her weight-loss regime.

However, the actress says she is not beating herself up about her recent shape and plans to use the next few months to write extensively about her pregnancies and her plan to get her body back into shape.
