Valentine’s week was a busy one for celebrity couples with enough hook ups, break ups, and make ups to make your head spin. It’s a virtual relationship merry-go-round with stars and their on-again-off-again love interests (the big love day holiday may have affected some of this week’s activity).
Let’s review:
Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan
Hunky Hugh Grant is single again. According to news reports, Grant and girlfriend Jemima Khan just ended their three-year relationship.
Naturally, their reps used the “decided-to-split-amicably” suffix to the break up announcement.
Frankly, I was a bit surprised by this one because last week I saw a number of photos of the couple together at the London and Los Angeles premieres of Grant’s new film, “Music and Lyrics.” Then, just a few days ago I watched Grant on Leno go on and on about how Khan had “domesticated” him and got him to love cats. He also appeared on ABC’s “The View” on Friday and referred to Khan as his “girlfriend.”
Cameron Diaz and Djimon Hounsou
It’s been a month since her high profile break up with longtime boyfriend Justin Timberlake, but it appears that Cameron Diaz may be getting back into the Hollywood-dating scene.
PEOPLE magazine is reporting that the actress and Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou were spotted getting cozy at an L.A. hot spot on Thursday.
“It looked like the perfect post-Valentine’s Day date,” a patron tells PEOPLE of the pair, who were with several other friends. “They were totally vibing each other, lip-on-lip action,” says the source. “Cameron looked so happy… Djimon followed her every move.”
Of course, the sighting kicked Diaz’s peeps into overdrive. Her reps quickly responded to the reports by saying that the pair are “just friends.” (Remember we heard the same stock response when she was seen with pro surfer Kelly Slater.) Either way, sources say the couple snuggled and danced the night away and generally “looked very happy together.”
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker
Yes, yes, the actress and the NBA superstar are still together and the wedding is still on. In fact, just this week the pair announced a wedding date: 7/07/07. What’s more, they recently sent out hundreds of save-the-date cards in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. That’s right, the pair have decided to tie the knot in Parker’s home country of France.
According to TV’s “Access Hollywood,” the entire “Desperate Housewives” gang scored invites, including Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Nicollette Sheridan, James Denton, Ricardo Chavira and creator Marc Cherry.
