Home Depot Kids Workshop

On Saturday, July 3, 2010 and Saturday, August 7, 2010, Home Depot is offering a kids workshop absolutely free for children between the ages of 5 and 12. This kids “how to” workshop will take place at your local Home Depot store between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

On July 3, the children will be instructed on how to make a periscope. On August 7, they will be making a school bus pencil organizer.

The children will learn how to use their skills to make these projects which will give them confidence. These projects help to build their self-esteem and allow them to use their creative side. The children will also be learning about how to handle workshop tools safely.

Your children will be thrilled when their project is completed and they are able to take it home and use it. This gives them a feeling of accomplishment that they do it “by themselves.”

The kids will also be given an orange apron just like the employees at Home Depot wear. The apron is the perfect size for them. In addition, the children will receive a pin that tells of their achievements in building and the “know how” of tool safety skills.

Home Depot is offering your children this workshop that is geared just for them at a cost to you of nothing.

This is a great activity for kids to do alone with the help of an instructor. If you want to participate with your children you will have a great time accomplishing this project together.

This activity is offered to your children absolutely free compliments of your local Home Depot home improvement store.

Be sure to head to your local Home Depot on these dates to ensure your child’s spot in the Home Depot Kids Workshop.
