Home School Blogger Spotlight: Adverntures in Mommydom

Adventures in Mommydom

Ticia, from Adventures in Mommydom, includes everyone on her adventures homeschooling her three kids. Her desire to homeschool stemmed from the desire to provide a solid individualized education for her individual children. No cookie cutter school systems for her and I have to say I admire that attitude. Ticia has a wide range of interests and hobbies which makes her blog full of interest and fun. The blog design is fun, colorful, yet easy to read and navigate. The content is fun, engaging, and like sitting down and talking to an old friend at the library. I added in library since she is a big fan of books so I’m sure she would enjoy spending time there.

Highlights on Adventures in Mommydom

Arts and Crafts: A fun section that will give you plenty of fun ideas to do with your little ones. I love blogs that inspire me to break out the construction paper and child scissors.

Printables: She has fun free printables to offer from Bible lessons to Christmas Around the World.

Curriculum Recommendations: She speaks extensively on which curriculum she chooses and why. I find that to be quite helpful as homeschool moms are always looking for the best curriculum out there for their child. I also appreciate the opinion of a mom in the trenches using the curriculum.

Science Sunday: Perhaps the most fun part of her blog! This is where you can get in on the action. Science Sunday is a weekly meme for bloggers to link up their science posts to share with others. You can share a cool science learning toy you found, a science book your child enjoys, any experiments your child has performed that week or nature studies you are involved in or projects which involved science.

Adventures in Mommydom is to the rescue if you need inspiration or a friend. I have found plenty of fun science to share with my kids just reading her Sunday Science so I encourage you to read it or participate!
