I must say that I love the title of this blog. The title, Giving up on a Clean House, is not a statement of the state of her home but a reflection of her state of mind. The mindset that says children and family are more important than dishes in the sick or the socks on the floor. Stacy keeps her head above the piles of laundry (not to say she has piles of laundry) by slowing down a keeping life simple. That simplicity is the focus of her blog which reflects family. She says “I have slowed down, committed to less and focused my energy on what matters to me!” I admire that and know her family must appreciate that.
Stacy is a mom to two young children ages 4 and 2, a committed wife and a doula. She also has a blogful of ideas for your little ones as well as recipes for you. If you check out her unit study section you will find some fun projects and activities. The projects are currently on colors! You can find plenty of fun ideas to teach primary, secondary, warm and cool colors to your children. Stacy has scoured the net to find some of the best ideas to share with you concerning this area of study. All that color talk will get you hungry so stop by her recipe section for some great ideas for dinner or snacks for the family. I especially love the reindeer toast and chocolate zucchini cake!
Another great feature on her blog is the Favorites section. She will take you on a bloggy ride through some of the best education blogs on the internet. She also lists wonderful resources and sites that appeal to mom as well.
Overall, Giving up on a Clean House, is a very clean blog. The look is easy on the eyes and easy to navigate. You will find plenty of fun and resources which makes her blog a definite stop on your bloggy trails.
