Going Green
Go green folks will find lots to talk about this week in the Home Blog. Mary Ann has tips for going green in various spaces throughout the home.

*Remember, you don’t have to listen to Al Gore about global warming or “climate change” (or whatever it’s called this week). Going green just means that we want to take care of our planet, our environment, our resources. We can -and should- all make an effort to make our world a better place.
Summer Vacation?
School will be out soon, but we’ll talk more about that later. For now, let’s just figure out how to make School Items last the rest of the School Year.
Shoes, jeans, backpacks, zipper pulls, and more…
And, here’s another tip: If your kids need more short sleeved shirts but you can’t afford to run out and buy any right now, (measure first) then cut off the sleeves and hem them. Short sleeves are more versatile, as they can be worn “as is” in the warmer months and layered with a long sleeved t-shirt or turtleneck in cooler weather.
How are your Manners?
Are our manners just as proper in the relaxed environment of homes as they are when we’re out in public? Hmmmmm…
How do we get to a place where we’re sometimes more polite to complete strangers than we are toward the people we love? Using manners and etiquette, being polite, saying please and thank you… even at home… are all little things that don’t take much effort but mean a lot to the people around us.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
