Home Week in Review: September 8th Through September 14th

September 17th
As I help my preschool daughter put on her dress, I hear a loud crash in the dining room where my toddler is coloring. Instantly, I can identify the most probable source of the noise. After a few years of mom-hood, you learn to distinguish various noises to figure out what is going on. I swear that I can even hear it when someone drops a single moist macaroni on the floor.
September 22nd
The other day, a parent of one of the neighborhood kids came by looking for his four-year-old son. They had an errand to run and he needed to collect the little boy. “It looks like you have the hang out house!” he said.
September 23rd
Are You Taking Advantage of Your Neighborhood?
I was born and raised in New York City. Despite that fact, I didn’t visit the Empire State Building until I was well into adulthood. Some friends from out of town visited and wanted to see it. To this day, I still have not gone to the Statue of Liberty.

Now that the temperatures are bringing crisp mornings and gentle breezes, it is time to start thinking about incorporating fall colors into your home landscaping through flowers.
