Letter of The Week

Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out Science Books is said to be “one of the oldest and most successful science series for young readers.” It is comprised of Stage 1 books for Prek-1 and stage 2 books for K-4. These books are a great way to get kids interested in science.

Letter of the Week is a reading readiness program for preschoolers. The program is designed be completed in 38 weeks and suggests that when using it “reading skills will come quickly for your child.” In fact, “Some children may begin to read on their own even before finishing all the letters”.

Library and Educational Services provides wholesale customers with educational materials. They sell to “independent resellers; teachers; school administrators; homeschools; librarians; pastors; church leaders both paid and volunteer; day care, missionaries and youth leaders.”

Life in America is an American History Curriculum separated by time periods that “teaches students to think, presents information through books and multimedia, and cements the learning with experimental activities”.

Little Hands to Heaven is a preschool curriculum with simple daily plans that require little or no preparation.

Little Hearts for his Glory is a bible-based curriculum for 5-7 year olds. The program is meant to take the planning time out of homeschooling young students.

Living Books Curriculum is based on the Charlotte Mason approach to homeschooling. It “emphasizes oral expression to promote literacy and learning.” This curriculum covers all traditional subjects into one program. Currently grades K-five are available, with the middle school years to be released in the near future.

Lucas Education (George Lucas Education Foundation) is a non-profit foundation encouraging innovation in schools. Through the website and publications of edutipia.org, the homeschooling parent can find great resources, videos, and project based learning materials.

Lyrical Learning (Lyrical Life Science & Lyrical Earth Science) is a series of texts, music, and workbooks that contain songs that will help your child learn foundational scientific information and reinforce what they have learned. These fun and humorous songs presented by Bobby Horton, teach serious science subjects.
