Homeschool Resource Review: Worksheetworks.com

There is a new website in the beta stage that allows educators to make free worksheets for students. It is called worksheetworks.com.

I don’t know whether the website plans to remain free or not, but for the forseeable future while they work out the many admitted kinks in the software, I should remain free of charge.

Like most educational websites, this site does not include high school level work, but instead stops at middle school level. Still the worksheets are are well designed and quite useful to elementary and middle school teachers and parents.

Unfortunately, or fortunately as is your preference, the site has no online interactive functions for kids to enjoy. According to the site builders, they have determined that worksheets are a superior form of learning to online interactive programs. While I disagree, you can’t look a gift horse in the mouth, and their opinion does not make the worksheets any less valuable.

Subjects covered by the worksheets include math from beginners to pre-algebra concepts, language arts, geography, puzzles, and more. I like to use worksheets such as these when going on a road trip. You can print out a bunch of worksheets, and put them in a binder to make an on-the-go workbook that specifically fits your needs.
