Why homeschool? Especially if you are a single parent, Asks Michelle Thorne. In this blog post, she gives us her reasons. How do you get them to complete their assignments on time, is another question of the day. While this is not a problem unique to homeschoolers, the suggested solutions are definitely handy for homeschoolers. Finally, my word of the day, Sacrifice describes the things a homeschooling parent must give up.

Will staying in school make you a better person, I asked. Actually, I argued against this comment that many homeschoolers hear. In well-Intentioned Friends Will Talk You out of Homeschooling, I attempted to give re-assurance to a mother whose friends disagrees with her homeschooling. My word of the day for this day was mastery. In this post, I described how a child should master information before moving on to the next topic.

In Purely Homeschooling, we left behind the financial talk of the day before and redefined talked about homeschooling in its purest sense in Purely Homeschooling. Later, in Don’t Believe Everything You Read about Homeschooling, I addressed the problem of the glut of information about homeschooling on the internet. Just because it is information, does not mean it is good.

Neither Homeschooling nor blogging could be stopped for me even though I was sick on the 16th. My post Homeschooling from my sick bed imitated life on this day. Valorie gave us part 2 of Homeschooling my Gifted Son When Others are Not article, and I wrote about how homeschoolers are responsible to other homeschoolers in The Responsibilities of Homeschoolers.
