Today the girls and I went to Going Bonkers with my moms’ group. I was not planning on going. Today was Jessie’s snack day at school and I didn’t want to deprive anyone of sliced apples and Roarin’ Waters. Last Wednesday her teacher and I were talking about how Jessie would not be in school the following day because I was attending the Keeping Up With Your Kitchen luncheon and Jessie had to go with me because I could not be both at the restaurant at 11:00 and picking Jess up at the same time. I mentioned the play event and Ms Hicks told me to go because school was almost over.
Jessie picked out her own clothes and chose to wear her Gymboree fairy outfit. She was adorably cute with matching fairy socks and pink sparkly slip-on sneakers. I put her hair up in her usual pigtails and we headed out for fun.
Jessie ran in full force when we got to Going Bonkers. I had to stop her from heading off climbing with her shoes on. Then I found my friends and parked the stroller. I put Baby E on the floor to crawl around and explore. Jessie stopped playing long enough to make a butterfly with Wikki Stix and play with glitter dough. She participated in the relay race, but didn’t win. Baby E didn’t win her race either.
When I was ready to go and had E strapped into the stroller, Jessie wasn’t done. She took off back into the structure shoes and all. She played so hard she ruined her fairy skirt; I’ll have to find another one. I need to find replacement ties for the shoes another little girl had to retrieve for her too. What a fun day. Wish I could have slept on the way home.
