Hot Hotel Deals in Hawaii for 2008

If one of your resolutions for 2008 involves traveling to Hawaii you are in luck. The Outrigger hotel group just released its package deals for the upcoming year and the savings are substantial.

For those of you who have never visited the Islands, Outrigger hotels are everywhere. I would describe them as moderate accommodations both price wise and for overall service. They are by no means as ritzy as the Four Seasons, but they certainly are comfortable and conveniently located. (P.S. You’re in Hawaii—if you are spending a ton of time in your hotel room then something is wrong with your travel itinerary.)

The following are some of the deals the hotel chain is offering visitors in 2008:

Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. Located on the Island of Oahu this deluxe property features superior accommodations, complimentary high-speed Internet access and breakfast for two daily at the beachfront Duke’s Canoe Club or Hula Grill Waikiki. Rates start at $225 per night. Valid January 1 through December 21, 2008.

This property is also offering a “Stay 5 Pay 4” promotion valid on the same dates as the deal I listed above. The package includes a fifth night for free with a minimum five-night stay in a partial ocean-view room or higher category. Rates start at $295 per night.

Outrigger Reef on the Beach. This Outrigger location is also located on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu near downtown Honolulu. The 2008 package includes accommodations and buffet breakfasts at the oceanfront Shore Bird Restaurant & Beach Bar with rates starting at $230 per night. Note: The property’s Ocean Tower just re-opened after being closed for renovations. Each guest room there now comes with complimentary high-speed Internet access. The deal is valid January 1 to December 21, 2008.

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach is also running a “Stay 5 Pay 4” promotion. Rates start at $285 per night and the offer is good through December 21, 2008.

Keauhou Beach Resort. On the Big Island of Hawaii you can enjoy free breakfast when booking a partial ocean-view or higher-category room. Rates start at $165 per night at the family-friendly resort located on the Kona coast. The hotel is also offering a “Free Ride” package, which includes a compact car rental, free on-site parking, and accommodations starting at $169 per night for a moderate room. You can upgrade to a midsize car for $12 more per night or a full-size vehicle for $20 per night more. That deal is valid January 5 to February 15, 2008 and February 17 to March 31, 2008.
