Hot Hawaiian Travel Deals

Several months ago I promised to provide you with a bi-monthly list of travel deals being offered in the state of Hawaii. Unfortunately, I have not been very good at keeping my promise. So to make up for slacking, I crammed as many current deals being offered on multiple islands into this blog.

Sorry for the delay. Here they are:

BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII

It’s finally over!! The extensive $50 million upgrade to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on the Big Island has finally been completed. Each of the 555 guest rooms now has shoji doors, Marriott’s new “Revive” bed and linen collection, a 27-inch HDTV LCD flat-screen TV, and high-speed wireless Internet.

To celebrate the new additions the hotel is offering a special introductory $199 “Discover Waikoloa” room rate. Reservations must be booked by July 15 for travel through December 19, 2007.

The special rate is for the garden view category, per room, per night and doesn’t include taxes and fees.

MAUI and OAHU

In the mood for romance? If you are planning a honeymoon (a second honeymoon) or an engagement trip to Hawaii in the coming year you may want to take advantage of Castle Resorts & Hotels’ “Kiss Me Everywhere” package. The deal is being offered at participating condominiums on Maui, Kauai, Big Island and Oahu.

The package is based on a three-night minimum stay, starting at $159 per night plus taxes. It includes use of a rental car, a list of top places to kiss, a disposable camera to capture those kisses and a photo album. But, wait, there’s more… the deal also includes bath salts, candles and items to maximize relaxation.

Here’s a list of the participating properties:

Oahu: Waikiki Shore

Maui: Kamaole Sands

Kauai: Kiahuna Plantation & the Beach Bungalows, Makahuena at Poipu, Poipu Shores, Kaha Lani Resort, Lae Nani and Lanikai Resorts

KAUAI

Golfers rejoice!! I have not one, but two great deals to tell you about. If you have always wanted to tee off at Kauai’s top courses now’s your chance.

“The Kauai Golf Challenge” package offers a round of golf at each of Kauai’s three top-ranked courses: Poipu Bay Golf Course on Kauai’s South Shore, the Kiele Course at Kauai Lagoons Golf Club on the eastern coast, and the North Shore’s Princeville at Hanalei’s Prince Course. The three courses have consistently been ranked among the top golf courses in the United States by such publications as Golf magazine, Golfweek, Conde Nast Traveler and Golf Digest.

The deal is only good through December 31, 2007 and includes a round of golf at each of the courses, including greens fees, shared cart, use of the driving range and other amenities for $390 per person including tax.

The second package, “The Ultimate Kauai Golf Challenge,” offers a fourth round at Lihue’s Puakea Golf Club or Poipu’s Kiahuna Golf Club, at $470 per person including tax.
